Channeling Mrs. Peel

    Can I have too many boots?  I don't think so.  As a child I loved the cool, hip style of Emma Peel, the female character from The Avengers.  Always chic and modern she dressed in a way that moved easily from jumping off buildings and karate kicking the bad guys straight into sharing a glass of champagne with John Sneed.  Of course the ultimate boots for Mrs. Peel were flat, ankle boots made from soft buttery leather, thus completing her outfit of skin tight bodysuits designed with strategic zippers or cutouts.
    My modern interpretaion of her boots are these Italian rain boots by Aquatalia.  A patent rose hued leather they are lined with a flower power sixties style pop art.  I'd wear these with skinny jeans and trench coat or add a twist to a simple patterned silk dress and Irish knit sweater.
